"Antics"
(Bug-Byte)

Description:
YOU are a bee and you're
trapped in an ant's nest whilst searching for your
lost buddy. And why not?
The control and general gameplay
is basic and the keys are simple: LEFT, RIGHT &
FLY. Few ingredients, yet still not without merit.
The control and movement is smooth - including the
ants and other nasties you must contend with as you
explore the deep maze of the ant nest.
Collect pollen and increase your
stamina as you go, however if you run out completely-
game over. To stay alive, eat the flowers and goodies
that populate the maze, but be careful of the ants-
if they touch you, your stamina decreases rapidly,
unlike most of the other inhabitants.
Most of the mazes screens you enter
appear to have no exit, however, to explore the maze
properly, you must move along the walls, floors and
ceilings to reveal hidden exits.

Criticism:
AT
first sight, Antics appears simple and even uninteresting.
But, after a few games, its easy to spend hours attempting
to find all the secret exits and rooms. What little
graphics there are, they're drawn well and they move
smoothly.
A cycle of classical background
music can be played during the game without any detriment
to the speed of play. A variety of different mazes
also helps keep your interest in the game, even though
it may not be the most groundbreaking release from
Publisher Bug-Byte.
